Interview with the Canadian Children's Book Centre

Each month, the Canadian Children's Book Centre (CCBC) sends out a newsletter to all of it's members, informing them of book news, recommended reading lists and interviews with authors and illustrators. As a new member of this organization, I'm very pleased and honoured to be part of their May 2017 issue's Illustrator's Studio segment.  You can read the interview here

Up! Book Trailer

I have a new book coming out this April!

Up! How Families Around the World Carry Their Little Ones is written by Susan Hughes and published by Owlkids. A big thank you to my editor, Debbie Rogosin and Designer, Barb Kelly for making this book into something I'm very proud of. Thanks also to Jemicah Marasigan for transforming my process shots into this lovely little book trailer. Enjoy!

Who's Behind that Store Window?

I'd like to thank Sarah Daniel for including me in this fun article for Porter Airline's Billy App about the window displays around Toronto and the people behind them. I'm quite humbled to be mentioned alongside the likes of Kalpna Patel of the Type Books display, Tim Oakley of Sonic Boom Records and Michelle Smith of Dufflet/William Ashley/Squint.

Sometimes it's little mentions like these that keep you motivated to keep doing what you're doing. I get so caught up in the making and installing, that I forget that people are looking and appreciating.

Welcome to Toronto

Welcome to Toronto is a colouring book with heart. Designed for newly arriving Syrian children, the book intends to acquaint them with different aspects of our wonderful city, while also doing something fun and relaxing: colouring!

30 Toronto artists contributed to this initiative and I'm honoured to be one of them.
