In addition to my illustration work, I enjoy teaching art to people of all ages.

For Teachers & Librarians

My presentations begin with an introduction to my picture book-making process and what it’s like working in the field of illustration. After a Q&A session, I’ll transition into an art demo which will then launch the class into an art activity thematically inspired by one of my picture books. Most of my workshops use paper collage as the main medium and are nature-themed.

Rate: my school and library visits (virtual or in-person) range from $350/hour to $600, depending on audience size.

For Independent Art Studios & Galleries

I offer art classes for adults as well as children. It really just depends on what you’re looking for. Past workshops have focused on paper collaged landscapes, animals and people. I’ll share my art process from start to finish and demonstrate how I personalize the papers I collage with, demonstrating how to create textures and pattern using a variety of mediums. Paper collage is a very accessible medium. Students usually leave my workshops feeling energized to continue their practise at home.

Rate: can be negotiated to suite your budget.
